Mike Jumper commented on GUACAMOLE-1155:
----------------------------------------
I believe the primary concern would be the potentially-patented algorithms. The
shouldn't be an issue with the software using libraries under LGPL/GPL, as
guacenc is an optional feature of the project:
https://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#optional
There is a generic legal discussion channel available for ASF projects. I'll
reach out and see if we can get some specific guidance.
> Provide users access to guacenc via docker

> Project: Guacamole

> Priority: Minor

> I'm not sure if the project's preferred approach would be to :
> # Include guacenc in the guacamole/guacd image, OR
> # Create a standalone guacamole/guacenc image.
