Antoine Besnier commented on GUACAMOLE-1478:
--------------------------------------------

Some info for my case, cant' say for Neel Rath's.

Correct, the issue does not seem to be with Guacamole 1.3.0.

More details: I use Guacamole in a custom docker container, forked from another
one (not the official one), and based on tomcat:9.0.xx-jre11 official image. I
updated it to Tomcat 9.0.56 (from 9.0.20) and Postgresql 13 (from 9). Docker
running on a Debian Buster system.

The issue of the invisible underscores is present with both Guacamole 1.2.0 and
1.3.0, when running Tomcat 9.0.56/pgsql13. When running Tomcat 9.0.20/pgsql
9.6, both Guacamole 1.2.0 and 1.3.0 will display the underscores.

Because Tomcat 9.0.20 image is based on Debian Stretch, and 9.0.56 is based on
Debian Bullseye, and PG is updated from 9.6 to 13, there are too many variables
that could cause the issue for me (changes in fonts handling in Debian? changes
in some tomcat's render engine?)

But I confirm it is those external variables that are the cause for me, and not
guacamole itself.

Cheers

> We are using guacamole ssh to connect to our remote device and perform some
> operation.
> we were using Guacamole 1.0.0 and it was working fine.
> Last month we  upgraded to 1.3.0 and the underscore( _ ) character
> disappears from SSH UI suddenly. Its there on the UI but not visible. If i
> copy it from the  ssh terminal and paste in notepad I can see it. Its bit
> annoying for our users. Please help.
> Tested on both chrome and firefox.
