Re-kicking the issue:
So we've been testing branch-1.1 here and without hadoop 2.6.0 branch-1 can't
get stable for any length of time.
https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/HDFS-7005 is just too awful. Should we
ship 2.6.0 branch-1.1 and 2.7.X on master?
