bq. Rolling downgrade not being there yet is kind of scary though.
Just to make sure I communicated this clearly, downgrade has been there since
2.4.0 for the use case of rolling upgrades that do not involve HDFS metadata
changes. For example, downgrade from 2.5.2 to 2.5.1 was already possible. The
new work that I mentioned is aimed at expanding the use cases covered by
downgrade, so that it's usable even after certain kinds of metadata changes.
