On my comment above about commit first and then test, a thread on 2.0 up on dev
list suggests this as general approach (using this feature as example) and no
pushback as yet. Lets let the mail thread hang another day or so to see if
objection. If none, lets commit (next week)? Meantime, [~anoop.hbase] tests
will help.
