Sorry for my poor naming. What about the NON_SYNC?
bq. The enums on create are a little awkward. Will there ever be more than two
modes?
i'm not sure whether more modes are need in the future. We can replace the Enum
by Boolean, but the Enum is more readable than Boolean.
