Ya I meant this but said as blocking updates.
bq.ith fast SSD hardware this has higher affect on throughput as memory
management is more of a bottleneck.
There are two aspects here - one is how much index is getting reduced and so
the region size changes and so the frequencey of flushes and how is the
hardware helping in the flushes to be faster or slower.
