Disclaimer: I've been working closely with [~phrocker] on this one this week.
* {{git-am}} complains about squashing some whitespace (I expect the same from
QA) -- Can fix on commit
* We should add the CMake temporary files to .gitignore
* Ditto to the executables built and dropped in hbase-native-client/
* Should we remove the old Makefile? (and also add that to .gitignore?)
