That sounds right (Yeah, decision was made after original implementation).

bq. Yeah, true. I did it this way just to have the same signature for all
methods. I think this makes it look better than the alternative..
I'd say depends. See what the javadoc says. On one hand its good to be
regular. On other hand, user will be trying to figure what to do w/ the extra
unused generics thinking they must be for something -- though in their case
they do not need them.
