Scott lewis commented on KARAF-2818:
------------------------------------

One thing I just learned/tried out (on Karaf 3.0.0)...

in the <karafhome>/etc/org.apache.karaf.features.cfg

I tried adding the ECF URL to the list of featureRepositories...and it now
looks like this:

featuresRepositories=http://download.eclipse.org/rt/ecf/latest/site.p2/karaf-features.xml,mvn:org.apache.karaf.features/standard/3.0.0/xml/features,mvn:org.apache.karaf.features/enterprise/3.0.0/xml/features,mvn:org.ops4j.pax.web/pax-web-features/3.0.5/xml/features,mvn:org.apache.karaf.features/spring/3.0.0/xml/features

When I start up Karaf, the ECF RS SDK repo and associated features *are
there*...i.e. using the non-maven URL in the cfg file seems to work just fine.
 Would it be possible to do this? ...i.e. rather than use the ECF maven repo?
 It would certainly help us out (less duplicate meta-data), and it does seem to
work with Karaf 3.0.0.

Thanks.

> Eclipse communication framework (ECF) now provides a feature file for easier
> installation in Karaf. The link to the repository should be included in the
> features.repo.
