John Ellinwood commented on KARAF-1729:
---------------------------------------

Yes, there are devs killing the instance daily BECAUSE of the invalid bundle
problem. They only kill karaf as a way to try to fix the invalid bundle, which
can happen very often. I just don't know what to look for when the user gets
karaf into that state. I don't see anything in the log files, and I don't know
where else to look. If there is a logger I can turn up to trace that may help,
but which one?

The usual development process is 1) deploy a feature that has bundles pointing
to mvn: coordinates, 2) make some code changes and deploy to maven, 3)
bundle:update just the bundle that was changed. The bundles may have blueprint
or not.

Yes, we have 500 or more bundles with some applications.
