@rmannibucau In an ideal world I would like to have support for case3 (cp. above) which can be called in parallel. But as I understand that is currently not possible since nobody can really say whether it is thread-safe or not. So I suggested to go with case2 to have a defined behavior as you called it - meaning to clearly indicate that the plugin is not threads-safe (and thus to avoid any misbehaving).
