I maintain my standpoint and I wouldn't mind the 71 character long type, but I'm fine with leaving it as is, if that's what you prefer. I might be traumatized by another codebase I used to work on, that was full of type aliases, and it hindered readability, due to constantly having to jump around. My issue is the indirection, and even though it's possible to use IDE functions or git grep, it adds friction and requires a mental context switch.
