With NO need to import mind maps or look back and forth from side bar to text and back, you can see the information structure of the document. http://www.colelearning.net/ilo/English/Module_1/026_writing_strategy.htm What they don't show is that you can drag an entire section - if I decide that Horses should be the first topic, I can click on the top-level heading of that section and drag it and everything subordinate to it to the top of the document. Doesn't sound like much, but if someone is writing a 100+ page thesis where information order is important, seeing the headings and arranging them into a logical flow is part of the process.
