Perhaps a better approach is to find a developer willing to crowdfund provision of this feature. That would also establish the minimum amount that would have to be raised. The developer would also have to arrange to do this in a way that can be tested, accepted, and maintained by the project. For it to be feasible, it needs to be someone who is already familiar with the OpenOffice architecture and code. I think finding out what a capable developer would charge to undertake this kind of effort may be more important than having a list of prospective donors. You could also calibrate for yourselves by researching what are the hourly-rates paid to seasoned developers with C++ and multi-platform desktop software experience. Meanwhile, whether or not this issue is marked as resolved, it is still available online and folks can continue to comment on it.
