If you want to talk to AOO devs, the usual place is the
[email protected] list.

You might point to this issue in any message about it.

I am not certain you will receive any replies from anyone but people who fancy
this particular spiral of unending point-counterpoint.

The bottom line is no developer has stood up to do anything on this issue since
long before Apache OpenOffice was formed in 2011. It really does depend on
personal priorities along with skills and competence to look into this area of
the software. That fortunate combination has not materialized.

I also notice that proposed means to crowd-fund such a feature have not gone
anywhere. I suspect that means no one is raising their hand for that either.

Speaking entirely off-hand, this might be a good issue to close as "WON'T FIX."
Not because the idea is rejected, but because there is apparently no available
capacity and that's the closest disposition wired into the Bugzilla options.
Would that bring any sort of resolution here and free folks to place their
concerns elsewhere?

I am happy to make that change to the status of this issue.
