Problem has been verified for Arial (12). I tried getting resolution from this on the AOO forum "Backspace causes a change in the font", https://forum.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=81329, without total success. The same condition occurs on two separate computers (laptop and desktop) and if the question responder is accurate, both computers have a corrupted something that produces the same end result. If you find that on your computers (hopefully Window machines) the issue does not occur, could you provide explicit direction. If the condition does occur then I view it as important (HMI) but not critical.
