Ashish Kumar commented on HDDS-7728:
------------------------------------
If container is in missing state, RM will replicate missing container to
another DN. When there is a delete block, SCM will delete blocks from existing
replicas and also delete transaction from deletedBlocks table as all replicas
got deleted?
At later point of time missing container can come back, and that deleted block
will still exist in this container.
[~sodonnell] Is this is the scenario or something else, Can you help to give
more description about this issue?
> Block should be safely deleted from the containers if they are instructed
> from OM and containers are in missing state.

> Currently when OM instructs to delete the blocks and if containers are in
> missing state, deletion may not be processed properly. This Jira to track
> this requirement and implement to safe deletion os blocks what ever state
> they are on. Otherwise containers would never get cleaned up even though all
> blocks in that files deleted.
