Thanks — the guard was narrower than Java and the comment overstated parity. I took the narrow-scope option: the Python fallback reads Paimon manifests, so it supports data tables only. The guard/comment/PR now state that format & object tables aren't scanned here (Java additionally scans an unmanaged format table's directory), so they surface the server's `NotImplemented` error.
