Thanks for the review — fixed in the latest commit (CI re-running). `newDefaultValue` is now modeled as `Option<String>`, so the Java payload with `"newDefaultValue": null` deserializes to `None` and `apply_changes` clears the field's default (matching `DefaultValueUtils`), instead of failing with `invalid type: null`. Set still records the new spelling as before. Added a null-wire round-trip test, an `apply_changes` set-then-clear test, and a `FileSystemCatalog` alter_table set/clear test. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
