SQLContext at main a939bf70 has the following gap: DataFusion rejects LATERAL VIEW. A correlated UNNEST subquery is insufficient because the native physical planner cannot execute the projected outer reference. Reproduction (with the referenced catalog/table registered when needed): ```sql SELECT t.id, lv.pos, lv.val FROM (VALUES (1, ARRAY[10,20]), (2, ARRAY[])) t(id,items) LATERAL VIEW posexplode_outer(items) lv AS pos, val; ``` Expected behavior: support these SQL forms with explicit type, NULL and error semantics, meaningful regression tests, and existing catalog authorization/error propagation. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
