I think that would defeat the purpose of shortening the hash, I am not in favor of it. Perhaps a compromise could be to again have two generators, a dkim and a dkim_long, with the _long adding the list ID to the end. Speaking as both a user and freelance administrator of some lists, and having spoken to other users, there is a strong interest in as short an ID as feasible.
