By way of confirmation that this is a genuine OOO3.3 problem, rather than for example a problem of some installation component being blocked by the Firewall/HIPS software (Online Armour++) I did a complete new install on a different PC with virgin Win XP fully patched and updated with a fresh install of the Agfa drivers and Scanwise. For this the Online Armour HIPS function was turned off (the PC was naturally disconnected from the network!) to rule out any influence. The result was identical.
