[~bikassaha] Updated the patch. Please take a look. Scratch dir now only being
deleted on successful unregistration. I am still not sure on whether we should
delete the dir when unregister fails ( even though this may be the last attempt
). This has problems as the next attempt will come up with no recovery data to
read and end up with the AM lingering around until it times out.
