I looked at this change initially. Apart from keeping this in sync with the
existing VertexImpl and its handling of tasks counters, you can verify that
calling vertex::getCachedCounters will result in calling the full get counters
call every time for each vertex if the dag cache is expired. This is due to the
nature of the DAG cache and Vertex cache expiring in lock step. I can make this
change, but I think it may mislead the reader that we are actually getting a
cached value.
