I disagree with modifying REST API responses with documentation (and
deprecation *is* documentation). My suggestion would be to document this on the
website under a deprecated APIs section or something. We've already cut RC4 of
0.12.2, but two rounds of voting (YK + Incubator PMC) will take at least a week
so if we can get something in place before that, it won't delay the release
further. [~wilfreds], [~phoenixjiangnan], thoughts?
