No it's not. What Gnus does is expiring messages in the English sense;
that is; it's "ending" them, after a period of time.

It is *not* using "expire" to exclude message from a working set,
which is precisely what I asked for.

That is again ending the messages, it's not excluding them from a working set.

Aha! your falsehood is shown here. You don't care about other's people
opinions, because you've clearly made up your mind and no argument is
going to dissuade you, even if it would dissuade others quite easily.

asking for opinions about the naming, they might read and answer. But
