I did some experimenting with a simple case and I found that I can view a particular PDF file in IE if it is generated directly by a servlet but I cannot if I do so from a servlet that includes another servlet (which generates the PDF).
At first I thought it had to do with the content length, so I set that in the calling servlet (the one that calls the other servlet). That did not fix the problem. Now, I am at a loss. I have no idea what is going on. Everything else is the same (content type is set to "application/pdf" in both servlets). Any ideas?
