Hello,

I'm mailing you about a possible violation of a copyrighted document.
The BCC: addresses of this mail include contacts at NIIT and TestKing.

My name is Bruno Lowagie. I'm one of the people responsible for iText,
a F/OSS Java-PDF library. Support for iText is given on a voluntary
basis through a public mailing list. All mail sent to this list is
forwarded to about 1500 people, and every mail is archived on different
forums and sites.

Note that there IS NO WAY to remove a mail from the list or from the
archives. The list is a service of sourceforge.net; the different
archives are also beyond our responsibility.

I'm sending this mail to NIIT, because I found out that an employee
of NIIT, named Sumanth Divvela, has sent a copyrighted document to
our list. It can be found here (and on many other places):
http://www.nabble.com/attachment/18526135/0/scjp%201.4.pdf
Please understand that nobody at iText is responsible for Sumanth's
behavior. On the contrary: Sumanth has already been in violation with
the policy that is custom on our mailing list.

I'm sending this mail to TestKing because the document clearly says:
"Each pdf file contains a unique serial number associated with your
particular name and contact information for security purposes. So if
we find out that a particular pdf file is being distributed by you,
TestKing reserves the right to take legal action against you according
to the International Copyright Laws."

We've had similar problems in the past where iText was threatened for
errors made by people who have no relationship whatsoever with iText.
I hope this mail can prevent TestKing to aim its legal action at the
wrong company. Companies such as NIIT are NOT PAYING for the use our
product. IT SHOULD BE OBVIOUS that we are not accountable for any
misbehavior of their employees!!!

best regards,
Bruno Lowagie
