Last month, two different people from different countries were very angry at me because they found their own mail labeled confidential "distributed on the internet". One of these people first wrote me he found his mail on GMANE and he asked me to remove it. A little later I received a second mail that he had found the same mail on Nabble. He really started panicking when he found out about the other archiving sites. The other one told me that by distributing his mail we could be prosecuted. I explained that we didn't have any responsibility. THEY had sent a mail to a mailing list address at lists.sourceforge.net so THEY had chosen to send the mail to about 1500 people. Moreover I am not responsible for archiving the mails sent to the mailing list. This happens automagically. The first person apologized as soon as he understood his error; the second person was probably to embarrassed about his own stupidity to reply. This is only a fraction of what goes on off-list. F/OSS, it used to be fun, but nowadays... I'm more and more disappointed by the people who not only use iText for free, but on top of that call me names, treat me worse than a paid employee, and harass me with stupid threats (for instance bug me because THEY made a stupid mistake). I can't even remember the last time I was happy. best regards, Bruno ------------------------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by the Moblin Your Move Developer's challenge Build the coolest Linux based applications with Moblin SDK & win great prizes Grand prize is a trip for two to an Open Source event anywhere in the world http://moblin-contest.org/redirect.php?banner_id=100&url=/ _______________________________________________ iText-questions mailing list [email protected] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/itext-questions Do you like iText?
