Paulo, when you look into this orphan signature field matter, it would be really great if you would not only help iText recognize those fields this thread was about (i.e. signature fields referenced from ->Catalog->Fields but not from a page) but also those as in Eric Chow's PDF (i.e. signature fields referenced from a page but not from ->Catalog->Fields) which is appended here:

The latter type might not be valid per se but Acrobat recognizes them and (more importantly) allows to fill them with a signature if they are empty. Best regards, Michael.
