Thanks Kevin and Michael. I'll take a look at word and character spacing
factors. But as you have pointed out, I do not have access to those pieces
of information at RenderText() level. Exposing GraphicsState would probably
solve this and many other issues. So for now, I seemingly have to change
iTextSharp code? Specifically the iTextExtractionStrategy interface
definition and its children?
