This definition works for me, and I'm happy with how fast my patch was
accepted after it was submitted to this mailing list.  If I came of a
bit gruff, it's probably because I was grumpy about having my old
patch submission disappear without a trace ;).

This is probably not the place to get into a Git-vs-Subversion
discussion ;), but clearly there are some well organized projects out
there using Git…
