Hey, you don't need to apologize for that. After all, we're all human.

Look at me: I can get really happy when I see a question like this:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14591689/itext-rotate-page-content-while-creating-pdf
Questions like this make me smile and I feel really good answering such
a question.

I can have an urge to be really rude when I see a question like this:
http://stackoverflow.com/questions/14599609/adding-text-with-itext-to-existing-pdf-at-fixed-position-does-not-work-pls-advi
A question like this can spoil my complete day (and there's nothing I
can do about it).

The problem is that the person posting the second question probably
doesn't realize he's hurting my feelings by saying iText is "not
working" whereas the problem isn't caused by iText, but by a complete
lack of understanding how iText and PDF works...

It's a pain-vs-gain thing. I'm sure we'd gain plenty of comfort by
switching to Git, but making the switch also involves a pain. It took
some effort convincing some developers to switch from CVS to SVN; it
will take some effort to switch from SVN to GIT. Also: switching from
CVS to SVN was a project that needed to be prepared carefully. If we
ever decide to switch to GIT, we'll have to make it a project too.

I've watched all the Harvard "Start-up Secrets" sessions by Michael
Skok: http://mjskok.com/
He says that the gain needs to be at least 10 times the pain before
somebody does something else than the default (which is: changing
nothing). Now I understand why there are still so many people using
obsolete versions of iText. What I don't understand is those people who
use obsolete versions of iText in new projects. That's like starting
with a pain built-in into your design...
