Well, for one it is the minimum value of a short or maximum value of a
short + 1 (if you allow for that).
10000 is just .. arbitrary.

Stupid question: Would it make sense to allow people to pass in the right
FitH value? According to Leonard this is (iirc) the height of the target
page. IF the target documents are available while the links are generated,
this value _could_ be filled with a correct value, no?

If that's not possible: A magic constant based on two to the power of x
seems more .. sensible.

Maybe Leonard can chime in again with some ideas about the interpretation
of FitH in the Adobe's Reader?
