The latest daily image will actually *most likely* be somewhat different than
the latest snapshot within a day or quite possibly less. This is not a big deal
but more often than not, as soon as I pick up a daily image in the morning,
I'll notice that 'zypper lu' will already give me a list of packages that can
be updated (some of them may just have been rebuilt with no code change
incorporated). The potential problem I foresee when the default repositories
are pointing at snapshot is that if you install these updates, you may be
picking up updates that are broken. If you point at daily instead you have more
confidence that whatever updates that are available are part of a repo which
could be turned into a complete image that booted successfully.

I realise that we do not fully test 'zypper up' (thanks Yanshuang for detailing
the degree to which this is tested) but if I can get away with a simple 'zypper
up' versus re-installing a fresh image then I would go for that... part of the
reason may be called laziness :-) but the other real reason is that if you
develop something on top of Tizen IVI you may be tweaking your image, adding
more packages or content, etc... and every fresh installation means you have to
redo that which always takes some time.
