I would prefer that nobody get in the habit of using snapshots unless they know exactly why daily does not work for what they are trying to do. Too often I see third parties referring to snapshot/latest is their reference for a new development project. For example JLR is negotiating a 250K Euro contract with Ixonos now and they referred to snapshots/.../20130711.x as the reference for their work for the next 2-3 months. We also have the example of ISG/PED who is still using a snapshot/.../20120924.x image as the base for all of their Baytrail development and validation.
