I've had the same problem, but it seems that it might be time related,
because I can't duplicate it with anything I do (change channel,
start/stop recordings....). When using the 0.4.5 driver after a while
it just stops working for /dev/video0, /dev/video1 is just fine. I
have two PVR-150s, one is MCE the other is non-MCE, not sure right off
which is which...

I had upgraded because of the tinny audio problem which was solved,
but then one of my tuners stops working so I've downgraded to the
0.4.2 (version in portage) again...

Now that the new TV shows are basically over (still have NBA playoffs
to record!) I should be able to do some testing if you can tell me
what would be useful to do.

I'm running Gentoo 2.6.14 kernel, running what I think is the latest
ivtv firmware (no version # shown in dmesg..?).

md5sums for the firmware I'm using are:

d85cb08382395390dc95ac6ebc2205f9 v4l-cx2341x-enc.fw
3a4803384f749d644ee1f1ca9dcb12fa v4l-cx25840.fw
