Hi, I have the same issue. I also upgraded my gentoo box with 2.6.19 and ivtv 0.9.1. I also use a WinTV PVR 350 with the latest firmware installed. The system locks up when loading the enc/dec firmwares. Removing the files from the /lib/firmware makes the box boot. I'm going to do more test to know if only loading enc is fine. In my case it locks up the system at boot every time, the firmware files are present in the /lib/firmware folder. My system is the 1st gen. Asus Pundit with Sis chipset.
