Hi all, I recently have gotten very interested in building my own PVR system and I'd like to use the PVR-500 board, but currently there appears to be little support for it in Linux. Anyhow, I'm wondering what I can do to help out the development process in terms of programming. I'm very familiar with DSPs, microcontrollers, and other embedded processors, and I'm somewhat familiar with embedded Linux and kernel drivers. I have little experience writing drivers for commercial hardware though -- only my own digital hardware.
My question is where to start? I'm hoping to have the board around Xmas time. Are there any datasheets available? After this week, I'll start poking around in the code... anything else I should be thinking about? Is there a way to monitor hardware registers, etc. in Windows? or perhaps using VMware? Thanks! -Paul ------------------------------------------------------- SF email is sponsored by - The IT Product Guide Read honest & candid reviews on hundreds of IT Products from real users.
