And there are different variants of the MPG600GR to boot. Some have the GR & 
3DYCS chips, some don't. The one I have don't. A/V off SVideo is perfect, 
tuner video is always black and white. Everything on the card with the 
GR/3DYCS chips seems to work great.

I have a patch from tadachi I haven't had time to try out yet to see if it 
fixes my video issues. I also recently got some saa717x datasheets from 
Philips, but they haven't been of much help, need to go back at them looking 
for something more along the lines of how to program the saa717x.

I've actually got a slightly newer driver version that does all module loading 
automagically, save tuner type setting so all I need now is:

alias char-major-81 videodev
alias char-major-81-0 ivtv
options ivtv tuner=43

I'll try to get that posted up later tonight, possibly with tadachi's latest 
patch (esp. if it fixes tuner video for me).
