(Picture: http://www.tadachi-net.com/parts/other_480/0284.jpg) And the driver outputs the fllowing messages, when these chips are detected. === ... kernel: This MPG600GR card has GR chip ... kernel: This MPG600GR card has 3DY/C chip. ... === This driver does not support MPG600GR that doesn't have GR and 3DYCS chips, yet. I am using the code from > http://www.litzinger.com/ivtv-0.2.0-rc3a-jw1.tgz. We are developing the patch on paken.org. (http://linux.paken.org/index.php?CX23416GYC-STVLP%A4%CE%B2%F2%C0%CF) The MPG600 w/GR,3DYCS cards are very popular in Japan, and many users use this patch. However, since the type MPG600GR without GR,3DYCS is not sold at Japan. Therefore, development of support code to it is behind. I put the newer patched driver into as follows URL. http://www.tadachi-net.com/pool/ivtv-0.2.0-rc3e-paken.050125.tar.gz This version of the patched driver loads required modules (ex. upd64031,etc) automatically and sets them up. Therefore, I recommend making a driver load as follows. === alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv options ivtv tuner=43 === modprobe ivtv * * * In addition, change of the input line of video decoder can be changed easily in the neighborhood of the following codes of ivtv-driver.c. === printk(KERN_INFO "The MPG600GR doesn't have GR,YCS chips\n"); itv->card->tuner0_video_line_num = 4; // FIXME! itv->card->composite0_video_line_num = 0; // FIXME! itv->card->svideo0_video_line_num = 6; // OK === thanks --- T.Adachi ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
