<snip lots> A quick question, is there a neater way of getting the below to work? If not others may find the same usefull. I have a hauppauge Nova-T and PVR-350 working perfectly, due however to the awkwardness of hauppague in updating the Nova-T I've had to go with the latest version of video4linux (20050125) which doesn't play nicely with ivtv, depending on which card was loaded first the second wouldn't load, to get round this I moved the tveeprom.ko from ivtv to tveeprom-ivtv.ko, this then broke the nova-t eeprom detection. So to get round this I then created the following modprobe.conf files :::::::::::::: modprobe.conf.ivtv :::::::::::::: # # please add local extensions to this file # ivtv modprobe.conf file alias char-major-81 videodev alias char-major-81-0 ivtv alias tveeprom tveeprom-ivtv options ivtv ivtv_debug=0 ivtv_std=2 :::::::::::::: modprobe.conf.local :::::::::::::: # # please add local extensions to this file # alias char-major-61 lirc_i2c install lirc_i2c /sbin/modprobe ivtv-fb;/sbin/modprobe cx88-dvb; /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install lirc_i2c install ivtv-fb /sbin/modprobe -C /etc/modprobe.conf.ivtv ivtv; /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ivtv-fb install ivtv /sbin/modprobe -C /etc/modprobe.conf.nova-t --ignore-install cx88-dVb :::::::::::::: modprobe.conf.nova-t :::::::::::::: # # please add local extensions to this file # Nova-T modprobe.conf file This works perfectly every time :-) David ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: IntelliVIEW -- Interactive Reporting Tool for open source databases.
