I've been struggling with this over the past week.

>From what I read, xine does not have an ivtv output mode, so it needs
to use the framebuffer.  On my Celeron 2.4GHz, it's not fast enough at
all, I get about 1 fps.

The problem with mplayer is that it doesn't support DVD menus, and the
ivtv output mode is ok, but I can't get the audio to sync.

I'm curious to see what others will recommend, because I've been
digging through the archives over the past week without any luck.
