I haven't tried the composit input. I wonder if that will work... I think I will give it a try tomorrow. If that works at least I will have a place to start digging to find a reason the tuner input isn't working.

My card works perfectly under Windows... I wish Hauppague would actually support linux with drivers... Nvidia provides a great linux driver... I wish other companies would learn from their great example. Heck, the least Hauppague could do is release the source code for their windows drivers so that they could be used as a model to build drivers for linux. Is it really too much to ask for a company to support their product.

You should follow the list a little longer before ranting. Even very recently on this list, people have explained that Hauppauge is actually relatively forthcoming with information. Unfortunately, Conexant limits the amount of information that Hauppauge can share with us through NDAs. If you want to be upset with someone, Conexant is probably a better outlet. Regardless, don't castigate the company that is trying to help us, and from which we want continued help in the future.

We all understand your frustration. Everyone on this list has had to struggle to get things working at some point. The other PVRs didn't work well at first, either. Saying "it works under windows" is also something I would really love to see less of.
