Hi Greg, My CD has a file called '/mnt/cdrom/WinTV-PVR-150MCE_2.0.18.22280 WHQL Signed/HcwMakoA.ROM'. There is no *.ROM in the root directory, I'm afraid. Trying to extract it produces the same annoying "ivtvfwextract.pl: Can't open /tmp/ivtvex.10082/hcwpvrp2.sys: No such file or directory". I'm using the ivtv-0.3.2d version. I'm beginning to believe there is something fishy with either me or the extraction script... Does anybodey have the firmware already extracted? Cheers, -Morten Greg Woolsey wrote: the retail versions have the firmware on the CD in the root directory, named *.ROM. Do the MCE CDs not have these files? When I forgot to copy mine to the Linux box, ivtv told me what file it needed for my card in it's debug output in /var/log/messages.Greg Woolsey On Mon, 14 Feb 2005 20:12:29 +0100, Morten Rønseth <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote:Hi all, I'm trying to extract firmware for my 150 card, running Mandrake 10.1. I'm issuing 'utils/ivtvfwextract.pl pvr150_22_22292.exe'. The script returns with the message "ivtvfwextract.pl: Can't open /tmp/ivtvex.8559/hcwpvrp2.sys: No such file or directory". Anybody knows why? Do I have the correct file (pvr150_22_22292.exe)? I downloaded it from the Hauppauge site and I cannot seem to find any other file on the CD that came with the card (got an OEM version). What should I do to get the firmware properly extracted? I feel I'm SO close, but the last bit is somtimes the hardest...
