[Recall: I'm trying to get the virtual consoles on my PVR-350's
TV-out. X works fine for me on the PVR-350. The 350 is fb0,
and as far as I know, it's the only framebuffer device I have.]

This last paragraph suggests that it should work without an initrd,
but that I would just miss the boot messages. If this is the case,
I'd like to get it working before rebuilding my kernel with an initrd.
But so far, no luck. I tried putting "vga=792" on the boot command
line, and this made the console disappear from my monitor, but didn't
make it appear on my TV, even after ivtv_fb has loaded.

Do I need to do something to reinitialize the virtual consoles after
ivtv_fb has loaded?

I'm using 0.2.0 rc3d with kernel 2.6.10.

Thanks for any help,

Dan
