There are a number of reports that ivtv or some parts of it don't work with 4KSTACKS. As I understand Alan Cox's explanation, if your code does not work with 4KSTACKS, it won't work reliably without 4KSTACKS. If it does work, it is because you haven't hit the worst possible combination of IRQs. I strongly suggest that a fix to work with 4KSTACKS be adopted. The only one I know was provided by David Gesswein on February 7: http://www.gossamer-threads.com/lists/ivtv/devel/17412 I have not tried it, but I think that this should be a high priority issue. I have also read that REGPARM is a problem. This sounds like a driver bug too.
