The stuttering occurs when I bring up the program guide and
then start moving around in it, but only sometimes. It seems
to be more likely to happen when I use page-up or page-down
than when I just use the up/down/left/right arrows. I would
say it happens to me between 1/3 to 1/2 of the times I bring
up the guide and start navigating around. The stuttering
starts before I exit the guide, so I don't think it's related to
the stuttering when the OSD fades. I used to see that a long
time ago, but not recently.
Also, when the stuttering is particularly bad, when I hit
exit, the program guide *almost* goes away - it's like only
some of the colors disappear, but most of the background colors
stay. It's alsmost as if only the text has become
transparent.
Another thing, is, if I allow myth to run with realtime priority, instead
of stuttering the computer usually locks up instead.
