what do you do with the updated firmware??

when i ran the ivtvfwextract.pl script on the firmware exe i got a
ivtv-fw-dec.bin and a ivtv-fw-enc.bin. Do i copy them into the
/lib/modules/ directory? If so how can i tell that they are being
loaded. I don't see anything in /var/log/messages when modprobing...

thanx
